Did you see my quilted Easter Decor yesterday? If so, you probably recognize my IKEA Easter Eggs. {or buy from Amazon too! – link below} I’m loving this purchase and have had fun crafting with them this spring. This Easter Egg Garland is a cute no-sew project that will take just an afternoon to put together. I took the garland outside to take photos and now its hanging over our living room window. I love that I can see it when I walk into the room and its made it feel more like spring.
For this project you will need only three simple things…
- Felt Easter Eggs {not sold anymore, but you can cut your own}
- Felt Egg Pack from Amazon
- Fabric Scraps
- Burlap twine or ribbon
I ended up with four packs of these adorable egg coasters from IKEA… a few went to the Egg Decor mentioned above and the rest went to this garland. I think I’m partial to the eggs with the flowers in the middle, but both are lovely. Which do you like?
Tear or cut your fabric into strips about 1-2 inches wide x 6-10 inches long. I didn’t measure {ha!} {note: measuring and ironing are NOT my forte!}
Next you will want to put a hanger on the eggs. I took some twine and tied a loop.
Measure {Yes! I actually did measure} how long you want your Easter egg garland to be and cut the twine or ribbon. Thread the long strand through all the eggs and evenly space the eggs. Secure the eggs in place by tying a fabric strip on each side. I just used a single knot for the fabric ties.
Fill in the spaces between the eggs with more fabric ties and keep going until you are happy with the look.
Here’s mine! And we love it! This is actually only half… I made mine in two pieces and connected them above the window when I was all finished. For other Easter Ideas see:

Love this, it is so cute. I especially love the Easter eggs but as I don’t have an Ikea anywhere close, I don’t think I will get any. This is a great way to use up some of that leftover fabric that is lying around. Pinning this.

I think you could cut your own cute shapes from stiff felt and make it that way too!
