This pineapple french toast looks amazing, am I right? The pineapple is cooked right into the french toast and I served it with a homemade maple and pineapple syrup.
You will need… Milk, eggs, canned pineapple, thick slices brown sugar bread {Or something similar as long as it has thick slices}, powered sugar and maple syrup.
Mix the eggs and milk together. Add a dash of cinnamon.
Coat both sides of the bread in the egg mix.
Spray a hot pan with cooking spray and place the bread in the pan. Place a ring of pineapple on each slice of bread and press the pineapple into the bread. When the bottom is browned, flip over to the pineapple side.
You can serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup or make my tasty pineapple maple syrup.
To make the homemade syrup – mix equal parts maple syrup and pineapple juice. Bring to a boil in a small sauce pan and reduce with a low boil for about 10 – 15 min. It should thicken into a perfectly fruity syrup.
