Cute Snowflake Crafts
When I knew that our December theme was snow, I wasn’t sure if I should make a cute file with words or another one that could be used with crafts. I decided to go with crafts.
I created two fun projects… a snowflake garland and ornaments. I had leftover ornaments from make hot chocolate ornaments with my kids and a snowflake garland to use as home decor once the Christmas things come down.
Here are the two files on ornaments.. I used gold vinyl and cut it with my scan n cut.
And here’s my fun snowflake garland.. I added some glitter on a few, but I like the white snowflakes too.
My snowflake cut files look like this… and you can use them to create all sorts of fun snowflake crafts.
How to use SVG files –
Snowflake Craft Supplies-
- Plastic ornaments from Michaels or Amazon
- Sticky craft vinyl from Amazon or Expressions Vinyl
- Stiff Felt

Ok! Let’s make something cute with these snowflake crafts! Download the zip file for the PNG and SVG files for my snowflake designs by clicking the button below.
Once you have your files downloaded you will need to unzip the file to use. You should be able to import the SVG file directly into your cutting software to use.
To make the snowflake garland you will need to take your stiff felt and a very sticky cutting mat. Brother Scan N Cut mats have a special fabric mat OR you can add the extra sticky mat add on to a standard mat. Stick the felt securely to the mat. If you feel that it is sliding at all you can use painters tape to secure even more.
I was able to cut four snowflakes at a time. You can adjust the size if you want to make more or less per cut. Peel off the extra felt and pick out the small inside of the flakes. I used hot glue to secure to the string and make a garland.
To make the snowflake ornaments I simply shook a bit of glitter into a couple ornaments, then cut out the sticky vinyl and apply to the ornament with transfer tape. If you need help with this process you can see my 2020 ornament tutorial where I demonstrate all the steps.
