my amazing sister in law made us a set of these for Christmas… and I just had to copy her! We had a birthday party last weekend, so I whipped up a set of color matching pieces. It works just like any matching/memory game, where you take turns turning over two pieces and trying to make a pair.
Here’s how I made them…
I cut a felt color square and a cotton print square. The print (outside) is about a 1/2 – 3/4 of an inch larger than the color. I didn’t measure exactly, but I guess it all depends on how big you want your game pieces to be.
turn on side over, then over again to have a finished edge. Pin in place.
Keep turning the square, folding and pinning.
I just did a simple zig-zag around the outside.

I made twenty squares for this memory game (10 different colors). Set of the squares and have fun!
opps, no match!
Great gift! Happy 3rd birthday!

This is so cute. At first I thought you were trying to match the doggie print,…and I thought, good thing this isn’t for me, I wouldn’t be smart enough for it. I think I’m probably smart enough to match the colours though, lol. Very cute. Thanks for sharing at our party today.

Great idea! My oldest LOVES memory but the store-bought game is still too hard for him so we always have to play with the cards facing up. But I like the simplicity of only having to match the colors in your game! Sarah @ Repeat Crafter Me

Such fun idea! For people that don’t sew, they could just glue the fabric with fabric glue! Thanks for linking up to Fun Stuff Fridays!
