Toddler Sweaters Free Knitting Patterns
 My niece turned one in Oct…. For her birthday I knit her two new sweaters… Their house is pretty chilly in the winter, so I’m excited to help keep this little one warm. I found all these patterns on Raverly, they were FREE. I love the ravelry site, because you can search for free knitting patterns in one place, but here are the direct links to the patterns/blogs too.
The sweater above is the Cascade by Petite Purls
The one on the left below is the Zebra Baby Sweater by Dove Knits
and the one on the right is the T-shirt Vest by Sam Lamb

Isn’t she just lovely? My sister sent these great photos… I wish I lived close enough to take my own!
I’ve only sent the two she is modeling so far. The pink one will be sent for Christmas. So far the two she has tried on have been large…. the yellow actually was tunic length, {which looks adorable!!!} But, I would always rather have too big than two small, so I’m okay with the sizing. Even though she was turning one I made the 18 mth size for all patterns. My niece is really tall, so I wanted to make sure she could get some wear out of them.
I LOVE the scallop edge on this pattern. I’ve never really done anything like this and I was pretty happy with how the design turned out.
Of course, I was running out or yarn, so I did the edging in leftover blue swirl yarn from the other sweater.
The vest was probably the easiest to knit {I want to make one in my size, tunic length!!}then the pink/blue stripes, with the pink being the most difficult. Although with all the youtube videos these days, nothing seems too hard if you know the basic stitches… I just look up the ones I don’t know!

    Those sweaters are darling. When my oldest nieces and nephews were young.. I knit each one of them a sweater. Although I still have the last one that I started only half finished… He is 17 now :).. Pinning this and maybe I will start knitting sweaters again.
