I love sewing dresses. I’ve sewn many many dresses for my daughter and I have shared a bunch of free dress patterns for kids. Over the years I’ve also sewn several dresses for myself. I also try to note when I find other free dress patterns from other designers as well. Today I’m going to share my latest free dress make as well as a list of other amazing free dress patterns for women to sew.

Free Printable Dress Patterns for women-

I don’t remember where I saw this first, but I’ve had this pattern downloaded and ready to sew for several weeks.

I found this fabric in my stash so I didn’t even have to buy fabric to make this. The fabric I had was a bit less than the recommended on the pattern, so I did have to shorted the sleeves and skirt by a couple of inches. The dress still turned out perfect so I’m no sad about it at all.

This dress is super fun too because it’s actually reversible. I was confused when looking at the pattern, so I went to look at the modeled photos and sure enough… you can wear it either way. Personally I think I love the buttons on the front, but both are fun!

I did cut the button side of the top with the pattern going wrong. I thought for sure I had the grainline going the right way, but I must have turned it in my fabric saving attempts. In the end I don’t mind the pattern going the opposite direction and I didn’t have any more fabric!

I really do love the sleeves on this free dress sewing pattern. The fabric is rayon challis from Raspberry Creek and it’s really lovely. They have so many fun prints. I bought this for something else {can’t remember what} but it worked great for this.
