If you have not tried Caramel Apply Crisp you are missing out! This is Apple Crisp… only WITH CARAMEL.. yep.. my favorite fall dessert just got even better!!

 This Caramel Apple Crisp is amazingly simple and amazingly delicious!! A simple twist on apple crisp, this will really make fall come alive in your mouth. I used Simply Caramel Milky Way bars in mine, but you could also use caramel chips.. what ever you have on hand.. as long as it’s caramel {ha!}

I made up my apple crisp recipe {recipe below} as directed for the crisp base layer and apples. Then I added chunks of the candy bar on top of the apples. If you freeze the candy bars, they smash easily.

Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the apples, then top with the rest of the crisp recipe.

 Here’s my favorite Apple Crisp Recipe with the caramel part added

Yield: 0

Caramel Apple Crisp

Caramel Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 5 mini simply caramel bars
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter- melted
  • 3 cups chopped apples {I leave the skins on and use a combination of red and green}
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 225. Grease a 8 in pan and set to the side.
  2. Combine the brown sugar, oats, flour and melted butter. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Put 1/2 of this mix on the bottom of the greased pan. Spread the apples on top. Add the caramel chunks and cinnamon. Finish with the rest of the crumble mix.
  4. Bake 30 min. covered. Uncover and bake another 10-15 min or until topping is light brown and crisp. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
