When my little one rides in the baby carrier, which is ALL the time, he has some exposed leg. Its chilly here these days, so I looked up some leg warmer tutorials, added my own twist, and we now have warm legs! Here’s my Baby boy leg warmers version; it’s more of a leg stirrup pant.
1. Start with long socks, you can get them on clearance for great prices!
2. I cut a V, just above the heel of the sock.
4. Turn the raw edge under and sew using a zig-zag or serger.
5. Sew the two points of the V together, by laying one on top of the other and stitching to make a flat seam.
Finished Product!
Finished and on chubby baby legs!
final step… I just slip the little shoes over the warmer and feet AND ankles are toasty!
No more exposed skin while in the carrier!
Looking forward to seeing you around the blog…. don’t be a stranger!

Attaching a fleece liner gives thinner leg warmers an extra warm and snug quality. The solid composition of fleece also spares you from having to add extra hems.
