inside: learn how to make cute DIY Halloween hoop art. Use my free web template to create a fun Spider Web art piece for Halloween decor. Fun and easy Halloween embroidery project.
A week ago I got an email from Angela Wolfe {Brother Ambassador and facebook live host}. She told me that I was on a live this week and I needed to do a Spooky home decor project. I happened to have some embroidery hoops around, so I was trying to get some ideas with the hoop. I saw a photo of some hoop art that was similar to this and I decide to create a fun spider and web hoop art project. Today I’m going to show you how I created this project, give you a video tutorial and offer you free template for the web hoop. Let’s jump in!

Halloween Hoop Art video tutorial
Heres the video I did with Angela of this project… Watch to see how I use the template on your sewing machine and create the fun hoops. Below the video see my photos and other tips for the project.
Spider and Web embroidery tutorial
After you download the .zip file free web template, unzip the file to use the PDF or SVG file. I printed off the PDF and then took a picture of it with the free My Design Snap app that works with Brother machines. I use this app to transfer the design to my machine.
See the video for how I turned the design into an embroidery design on my machine.
Hoop the black felt with some stabilizer in a 9 x 9 hoop. The web design is 8″ round.

Stitch out the web design.

For the spider you can use a design from Artspira or buy one as linked above. After you download or transfer the spider design, stitch it out like you did the web.
To put the rest of the hoop design together, see how I crafted the hoop in the tutorial video. Hoop the spider in the small hoop and the web in the larger hoop, then add poms around the edge. Use a needle to thread a web between the two hoops.
