I’m a huge fan of frozen things on a stick, so I’m super excited about this frozen Twinkie dessert. Its a super fun twist on Twinkies with extra fun factor and frozen for a delicious summer treat.
Frozen Twinkie Dessert
Here’s what you need to make your own tasty Twinkie Dessert…. Twinkies– did you know there were so many flavors?? SO many fun options… Toppings – gather whipped topping, melted chocolate and your favorite sprinkles and garnishes. You will also need some sort of stick to freeze in your treat.
I covered the chocolate cake Twinkies in melted chocolate. You could also do white chocolate. Put the stick in the Twinkie, then spread the chocolate on top.
Add some yummy garnish and place the covered Twinkie on a lined baking sheet.
We covered the fudge covered Twinkie with whipped topping {so many amazing layers!!}
And then some sprinkles for color { and they make everything more fun.
Freeze for several hours or overnight. The Twinkies freeze, but are still soft enough to bite, and it’s like a Twinkiecicle…. Maybe I just invented something new {haha}. What else woudl you use for coating or topping? I think there are so many great options that would work, this is just what we came up with for our first attempt at a frozen Twinkie.
Didn’t they turn out so fun! You can serve on a tray on in a jar like this for summer parties or after dinner treats. I know we will enjoy this fun Twinkie treat on hot summer nights.
So yummy!! You can see we used bamboo bbq skewers so watch out for the points, but you can use candy sticks too without the points. Check out all the tasty layers in this frozen treat?
