DIY Giant Lollipops –
Today I’m going to show you how to make…
Giant candy decorations
It’s easy will supplies from the Dollar Tree. We love that we live right down the street from our local store and I found some really fun supplies to help me make these giant candy decorations. I made two different sizes because I had two different stands to work with. The stands are the only part of this craft not from the Dollar Store, so you will have to figure out the pole part of this project.

How to make giant lollipops –
Let’s get making! Here’s what I bought at the dollar store but you can use this as inspiration and get your supplies anywhere. I bought {for $1 each}
- 2 red party trays
- 2 green bowls with scalloped edge
- 2 window insulation kits
- 1 pack zip ties
- 2 rolls ribbon
- 2 rolls white tape {to cover stands}
Begin by deciding how you will mount your candy on the stand. I use zip ties for one {see below} and melted a hole in the bottom of the other candy. I used an old knife and a candle to melt a small slit on the bottom of the bowl to mount to the loop on my stand. Your opening will be determined by your stand/pole. {note- this project is much easier if you have a gas stove! I no longer do, so I used a candle} {sad face}
If you are using zip ties to secure, place the two trays together and use a nail to melt holes around the edge. I had six total.
Thread the zip ties, but do not tighten.
Glue the scalloped bowls together with glue and let sit for 24 hours. I melted the hole in the bottom before gluing.
Cover your stands with tape to look like a lollipop stick.
Place your glued bowls on top of the stand/pole.
For the zip tie version I placed the trays over the top of the pole and then tighten up each tie. Clip the extra plastic.
Drape the window insulation plastic over the bowls/trays. You can also use color cellophane for this part. Tie the ribbon under the bows/trays to gather all the plastic and secure in place. Now you have a GIANT LOLLIPOP!!! Be sure to come back Friday to see more fun Winter Candy Land photos!! Also check out all the other fun Christmas Dollar Tree Crafts below.
