I’m so excited about this girls swimsuit sewing pattern! This pattern has been created out of necessity as my daughter doesn’t fit in any one-piece suits we buy. PLUS, the tutorial comes with lots of fun swimsuit hacks for creating fun designs and features.
Make sure to grab it while it’s on sale this weekend!!

In this post I’m going to be focusing on the basic suit shape.. next week I will share tutorials for fun swim suit hacks you can make with the basic suit pattern. If you want ALL the hacks AND the basic pattern in one PDF with the printable pattern pieces you can purchase this pattern HERE.
The purchased pattern includes THREE videos for measuring, blending sizes and fitting so you sew up a swim suit that fits amazing! There is also a 18 page written tutorial and direction sheet. The actual swim suit is a nine page pdf pattern that you will print and assemble. Find the tutorial for finishing with FOE HERE and the tutorial for color blocking a suit here.
We thoroughly tested this suit last month on spring break and it was perfect for playing at the beach, swimming in the pool and long walks looking for sea- glass. {looking for a fun beach bag for shell collecting? Try this tutorial.
We found this basic suit shape to fit so many body shapes well and also give coverage in both the back and the front. I love that this suit has great back coverage as well, so no worries about it slipping or sliding while swimming and playing.
These photos are from some of my testers using just the basic shape. Again, the PDF download also has directions for ALL THE HACKS, but I will also be sharing photos of those hacks next week right here. PLUS, with this basic shape you can add your own hacks, I have even more ideas than the ones I already created to try.
I had so much fun sewing up a bunch of suits for my daughter as well as testing some of the bigger sizes with our friends. Using my own tutorial and directions I was able to sew up the suits for these older girls just using their measurements. We did have one quick fitting, but I didn’t make any adjustments. Let me know if you have any questions about it!!
