We make homemade wrapping paper every year. Today I’m sharing this years’ version. It’s cute, easy, and won’t break the bank! I bought the plain red paper like a do every year at IKEA. This roll of 9 yrds is only $1.50… so much paper for not very much. So, adding some washi tape embellishments seemed a great way to spruce it up.
I’ll show you how we did it… this is a great project that kids can help with.
I found the best way to decorate large amounts of paper was just to run the tape down the paper… I unrolled a bunch and went to town. It also looks cute to decorate it after its wrapping, but that takes more cutting and can make it harder to unwrap if you covered the seams…

that is such a great idea for the kids and very cute. Dang I was just at Ikea on Friday I didn’t see rolls of plain paper need to look harder next time 🙂
