The Slouchy Sweatshirt: XS-XXL

A fun women’s top that can be dressed up or “slouched” down. With two sleeve options and endless fabric possibilities you might just need about 10 of these for the cooler months.  The drop shoulders are the defining feature of this super comfortable sweatshirt. Use sweater fabric for a dressy look or sweatshirt fleece for a casual look. Upsize for a larger style that still fits great, or make the fitted size for a look that can layer or be worn on its own.  Check out my examples in the blog post and styling options. With 60” wide fabric you will need 1.5 yards, and for most sizes you would have enough for the cuffs with the same fabric. You may need to add 1/3 yard more for larger sizes if making cuffs of same.

All sizes require 1/3 yard ribbing fabric {or use same fabric as shirt, but add the extra yardage to your fabric needs} Suggested fabrics –sweater fabric, any knit, sweatshirt fleece, heavy weight interlock, med weight poly lycra, cotton lycra, french terry, cotton jersey, jersey rayon spandex, stretch velour, If your fabric is less than 25% stretch {at least one direction} I would suggest sizing up for the shirt.
