Hi all! I’ve got a fun and easy project for you today! I made a refashioned tote bag with vinyl for SNAP conference which I was able to attend last weekend… Let’s talk about the tote first.. then I’ll share a bit more about my conference experience! I’ve been loving playing on my Silhouette portrait {affiliate link} and tracing graphics and creating my own new ones. For this refashioned tote I used the sewing machine graphic that I use in my logo and traced it to create a fun vinyl file.
I love the red glitter vinyl on the black and white stripes. Cute right? This graphic was a but harder to trace but I think it came out okay. I used the trace function in the Silhouette software and it wasn’t the cleanest trace. I was able to make it work though.
Now for the refashion part… this tote originally looked like on the left… I used white and black vinyl to cover the logo… Then I added my sewing machine graphic..
You can find my other Silhouette projects here. This tote was perfect for taking my stuff around during the conference and I’m thinking of creating a pattern like this because I LOVE the zippers on the sides.
Now… my main reason for making this tote was for my trip to Salt Lake City and the blog conference SNAP. I had a great time and met so many amazing other bloggers. GINA and KATIE… our great Create Link Inspire party… I met them after working together for several years! I also got to spend a lot of time with Marissa of Rae Gun Ramblings.
We had a little meet up with any sewing bloggers at the conference… so fun!
I met some new sewing friends… I sewed next to Kati of Houseful of Handmade.
And had dinner after the conference was over with several of my sewing blogger idols {haha}
