As a mom I love when food not only tastes great {that makes my kids happy!} AND is good for them. That’s a win-win situation, and with three young kiddos I need all of those I can get. With Nesquik’s Chocolate Powder with no added sugar in my Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Pancakes we are all happy! I’m pretty sure these would be a hit in your home as well.
Monday- Friday our mornings are a bit hectic as we get ready for school. I tried something new last week. I made these whole wheat choco banana pancakes with #Nesquik the evening before and then we just heated them up for breakfast. They tasted great! I don’t have time to cook hot breakfast before the 7:15 school bus, but I can reheat pancakes…
Hot breakfast in under 5 min.
I had a little helper making the pancakes in the afternoon. She was so happy to help while the boys were at school.
Here’s the recipe I used:
Whole Wheat Choco Banana Pancakes with Nesquick
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. Chocolate Powder Nesquik {I used the no-sugar kind}
- 1/2 TBS Baking Powder
- 2 Cups milk
- 2 Bananas sliced
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. You can double the recipe if serving the whole family. This recipe was good for my three kids with a few small pancakes left over. I think this serves 4 kids. Heat a pan over med heat and spray with cooking spray. Scoop small amounts of batter onto the pan. Place 1 banana slice in each of the pancakes. When bubbly, flip the pancake, pat to smooth banana and cook for about 30 sec or until slightly browned. Serve with warm syrup for dipping.
Mix the batter, add in the Nesquik.
Place one banana slice on each pancake.
Tasty plate of mini pancakes!
Warm syrup for dipping.
Happy kids before school.
And with Nesquik Chocolate Powder containing:
o Iron to help with growth and development
o Vitamin C to help support a healthy immune system
o 3 essential B Vitamins to help the body make and use energy
o Copper – an essential mineral which is important for iron absorption and the formation of red blood cells
o Manganese to support healthy bones
I think we all can give a big “thumbs up” to this breakfast.
A while ago I shared this tasty Nesquik smoothie recipe.
