I’m excited to share this womens swim bottom free pattern with you today! {Note: the pattern was from another site and is no longer free} We spent our Christmas vacation with some of my extended family in Bali. Before we left I made myself a new swim suit. I had been eying the 4 out of 5 Agility Tankini, so I bought that pattern. I just wanted a simple swim bottoms, so I started looking for a free pattern. And I found one, and you could download the pattern pieces for free, but you had to pay and join to get the instructions. So I decided to make my own tutorial and today I’m going to share how I made mine. There are many way to put these bottoms together, but I wanted mine lined, so this is the way I did it. You can use the free pattern and sew them like I did, or any way you think works better for you. Make sure to check out all my Free sewing patterns here.
You can purchase the Agility Tank and Tankini Pattern from 4 out of 5 Patterns using my Affiliate link {thanks!} The Tank pattern comes with dress options and tankini modifications. sizes xxs – 3xl. My overlay has deeper side swoop than the pattern, but I like it for the suit. I used Fabric Fairy Yellow Swim fabric { I also used it for my daughters suit last summer} The black is like a mesh, but in a cute pattern and was from a market, so I don’t know where to get more. The edging is 1″ wide thick FOE {fold over elastic} and worked so great on the tankini. The pattern gives directions for using it.
Isn’t the back amazing. I love it!
Back to the bottoms. My version is a full coverage, medium rise swim bottom. I used clear 3/8″ elastic for the leg openings and the FOE at the waist.
Want to make these? The pattern is totally free from the Sew Daily Site and I’m going to show you how I put it together! Click the box below to see the tutorial and get the womens swim bottoms free pattern.

Cute suit! Years ago I was brave enough to sew a swimsuit – maybe when I drop a few pounds I will reinvestigate. Bathing suits are so expensive nowadays for good quality!

What a unique bathing suit! It kind of bridges the gap between a one piece and a bikini! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Share The Wealth Sunday! xoxo
