In this last tour, I’m showing the not-so-exciting parts of the house… the hall closet and bathrooms.
If you are just joining.. I’m sharing a house tour of my simple 872 sq ft home this week…. Keeping it Real on the blog! You can see part 1 here and part 2 here.
Ok… first up… the hallway bathroom. This is also the bathroom that has a tub. It is SO small its hard to photograph. You can see me in the mirror, standing int he hallway..the floor space is about 2×2, but we have a sink vanity, toilet and bathtub all inside, just no room to walk around. Next, the hall closet {I know I said we don’t have closets in Hong Kong, but this particular apartment has a hallway one}. Because its really my only hidden storage, its jam packed and not a pretty site, but I’m keeping it real… so here it is.
Directly across from the closet is the “ama room”… that’s right a room for a live in maid… which we do not have..{don’t even get me started on that cultural part of middle/upper class Hong Kong} so we use it to dry our clothes {no dryer} and pantry storage. Again, its so small I can’t really get a good photo.
On to the hallway… its pretty long {for a small home} We got the runner in Egypt years ago and I love it. This picture is taken from the bedroom looking down to the kitchen.
We’ve decorated the hallway using photos from our travels… you can see more about that in this post.
At the end is our bedroom and master bath. Its identical to the hall one, just the mirror image… again, see me in the mirror trying to get it all in.
I do want to show off one thing in this room. My brother made this amazing earring rack for me years ago… Of course with the marble walls I can’t hang it right, but its wired to the window and works great…
And that’s it! Have you posted a home tour? I’d LOVE to see pictures… thanks for coming along on this little peak into my world.
Make sure to check out the rest of my home.

I love reading your blogs and watching your videos I feel very connected to you for some reason. I am a 68 yr old grandmother of 5 with my grand daughter and her daughter living with us. My husband and I have traveled the world and have very curious minds when it come to other cultures. If you don’t mind my asking what does your husband do that has brought you to Hong Kong? How long will you be there? Have you traveled into mainland China? I would to hear more of your story
