I love taking photos of my projects. I don’t however like taking photos of garlands… I can’t figure out the angle or the best way to get a photo that shows how great it actually looks. So… Here’s my best try at photographing this awesome Red White and Blue Ruffled Garland.
This Red, White and Blue Ruffled Garland is thick, ruffly and super festive. This garland will make any July 4th picnic or dinner a real party!
I found this paper table cloth on clearance at WalMart last summer for $.99. I’ve held onto it… now I finally used it. I picked up a roll of blue sparkly ribbon to go with it. You could also use blue and red crate paper and create the same effect.
Cut the table cloth into four inch strips. I wanted it wide, but you can change the width. I cut them all the same, but if I did it again I would have cut one color 4 inches and one color 3. This would have give more depth to the layers.
I decided to sew the blue strips together and the red ones. Just feed them into the foot, one after the other.
Have you used your machine to auto ruffle before? I love the technique!!! If you haven’t done it before, set you machine to the longest stitch. Mine is 5.0 on the right.
Then, you want to set your thread tension to tight! 9 actually made the ruffles TOO tight, so I loosened mine… play around with it. Oh wow! Look at that dusty machine!
SO then I had piles of ruffled garland. Some red and some blue.
To put them together I layered the ruffles one on top of the other, then added the sparkly ribbon on top.
Keeping all the layers flat {they like to twist!} I sewed the three layers together.
Pretty, right? I’m really loving the colors!
And the best way to photo graph this red white and blue ruffled garland? Rolled up! {ha!} It is a pretty roll though, if I do say so myself!!For other Red, White and Blue inspiration, check out:

Even in below-created international locations, these charges
would boost eyebrows. A low rider bike is also known as chopper bicycle and
is a highly customized bike. Fans who missed the first set
of this exciting match may have thought that the
score keeper made a mistake, that’s how long it’s been since
Treanor and Walsh lost a set.
