Awhile ago I was contacted by Dana asking if she could use my free raglan pattern to make and sell shirts. I’ve been asked this about other patterns and I always say yes {and actually legally I can’t say no [ha!]} As I found out more about what Dana was doing I decided I not only loved that she was using my pattern, I wanted to help promote her shop. Dana’s idea of Radical Raglans are LOVELY! Not only are the shirts adorable, but all proceeds go to support missionary and adoptive families, WOW! I love it! So.. Here’s the Radical Raglan I was sent to try out…
So cute, right? I mean my daughter is adorable, but the shirt is cute too!
You can find lots of listings in the twelve2 Etsy store.
The shirts are made with upcycled shirts as the body and new fabrics for the sleeves. What a great way to re-use all the clothing waste in our world. Dana also explains that its a great analogy for adoption..” Something (or someone) that was otherwise going to be thrown out (or forgotten) can be reused (or rescued/redeemed) into something new (or brought into their forever family).”
The words on the shirts are empowering words. Words that we want written on our children’s hearts. Customers can also make requests and totally personalize shirts/words and needed.
Again, all proceeds are sent to missionary and adoptive families. The families will be high-lighted on FB and Instagram with #twelve2family if you are interested in learning about who will be supported by this. Approx. $15 from each shirt sale will be donated! You can find out more about Dana at Sew Thrifty, IG: @twelve2Dana, Facebook: facebook.com/twelve2etsy
AND… just for my readers you can get 20% off a purchase of $20 or more with the code Naptime20 in the Etsy shop. There is also a giveaway on IG, so go check it out. Shirts will sell for $22-30 depending on the size.
I hope you will take time to check out Dana’s shop and maybe help promote her great cause. Either through a shirt purchase or sharing about the Radical Raglans…
