I’m going to take some time this week so show you around my home…There are many bloggers with GORGEOUS homes… you know… big, well lit, beautifully decorated… well today, I’m keeping it real, we don’t all live like that, do we? Nothing against a home like that {I dream of a bright, airy home someday!} but right now I live in a 872 sq. ft home… well, not even a single home, its an apartment building with three towers. We live on the 2nd floor of one of them. While its not huge, it is our home {and we love it} so today I’m proudly showing it off! Here’s what the outside looks like.
Today I’m going to take you through the main living area and kitchen. I’ll also provide links to any tutorial or project that I’ve previously blogged about that can be seen in the photos…. ok… here we go..
I took the photos on my phone because I had a wider lens. These were also taken on a weekend when my husband and kids were on a Father/Son campout.. I didn’t really make any changes to how things look normally, but I did pick up! {you can scroll to the end to see how my house looks when the kids are home!}
let’s start with the entry way…our front door opens right into the living room. In the photo the first door on the left is the kitchen and the second is the front door. We keep our stroller there as well as a shoe rack. {where we try to keep our shoes hidden so they don’t take over!} The shelf there also holds our bubbles and sidewalk chalk and other fun outdoor things.

here’s the front door again while standing in the living area. We have a bunch of the kids toys in our main room, but we keep them to this shelves you can see here.
Let’s take about 10 steps forward and check out the kitchen. I don’t have a ton of counter space, but we make do. I do have a full oven {on right} which many place in HK do not have, so I am thankful!
My {late} Grandfather was a watercolor artist and the pictures I have above the sink were done by him.
My sister {and her cricut} helped me to make labels for my baking supplies.
Now if we turn around and walk out of the kitchen, we see.. Our living room… the lighting is bad because the window was so bright. Its not much, but we like the coziness!
I LOVE pictures….this is the top of our tv case…
and tucked in the corner is the fabulous chalkboard table I made for my kids… {its an IKEA table redo}

There is nothing wrong with living in an apartment. You don’t have the issue I have right now ok who am I kidding almost all the time..my grass needs to be cut. Lovely home!!

I like your space! It’s functional, and that’s what’s important in my opinion. Believe it or not, I only have as much kitchen counter space as you do! (It’s a really pretty counter, though!) Once I get everything unpacked and in-place in there I’ll be showcasing it on my blog, as well! I can’t wait to see the rest of your home!

I think your house is lovely and honestly I’d rather my kids live in a real home than a show piece. I like that they touch walls and doors because my eldest is 15 and I know those years don’t last. Ps my lounge always looks like that during the day 🙂

I love this! Your house reminds me so much of my own…I think we might even have the same sofa. It’s funny because since I’ve been visiting my family in the States over the last few weeks, we’ve watched quite a few episodes of a house hunting show on hgtv…We’ve been laughing because people walk into a home, see the living area and their first complaint is that it’s too small. Meanwhile, I’m thinking, “That’s as big as my whole house!” It’s nice to have a sense of reality and we are truly blessed to have homes, especially knowing that so many people do not. Wow, you have a full oven in HK! I wish. The mini oven we have drives me INSANE. We also live in a tiny apartment in HK, but we cope – most days.
