Inside: The most delicious grilled fruit tea recipe. The perfect summer refresher is SANPELLEGRINO® Pesca &tè plus real grilled fruit.
Something about summer weather turns me into a ice tea fanatic. I keep a pitcher of tea in my fridge all summer long and it’s my drink of choice most days. While I don’t usually drink sweet tea I do like a hint of sweetness in my tea. I recently tried the new SANPELLEGRINO® Pesca &tè and it’s perfect for me. I used it for my grilled fruit tea recipe today and I’m sure you will love it as much as I do.
Grilled Fruit Tea Recipe –
Doesn’t this look like the perfect afternoon refresher? It totally is mine! We tend to grill everything in the summer and so I decided to add some grilled fruit to my tea and it’s a great combination. The tea/fruit beverage is the first organic drink {certified USDA ingredients} from SANPELLEGRINO and it’s made with real fruit juice and tea extract. It has just a hint of sweetness, but it’s not too much, plus it has just a bit of carbonation to hit my bubble spot. With only 50 calories per can it’s my new go to afternoon refreshment. You can find it in two great flavors – SANPELLEGRINO® Pesca &tè {peach} and SANPELLEGRINO® Limone &tè {lemon}. Hover over the image below to shop for SANPELLEGRINO Pesca &tè at Walmart.
Want to make some tasty tea with grilled fruit? Let’s get grilling…. Grab your SANPELLEGRINO Pesca &tè and fruit at Walmart get ready to make a refreshing tea and fruit drink. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. I had large berries so I sliced them in three or four thick slices.
How to Grill Fruit –
I love to grill fruit! There are so many kinds of fruit you can grill {really you can try anything} but peaches are some of my favorite. I cut them in half and take out the pit. You can brush with honey {yum!!} but for this tea I didn’t really want the honey flavor so I just sprinkled the cut side with a bit of sugar. I like to spray the grill with a bit of cooking oil to prevent sticking {it doesn’t always work}. Preheat to medium heat and then place peaches cut side up first. It doesn’t really matter which side of the berries. After about 7-10 min {or when you see nice grill marks on the fruit} flip over to the other side and cook for the same amount of time on the other side. The peach halves should be nice and soft. The strawberries only cooked about 3 min on each side. After you take the fruit off the grill place a couple of strawberry pieces and one peach half in each glass. Add some ice and then the SANPELLEGRINO. You can mash the fruit to really blend the flavors or just serve as is. The fruit flavors will blend with the tea either way. I personally like it mashed and I use a spoon to eat the fruit when my tea is gone. Now… sit back, relax and enjoy a refreshing sparkling tea and fruit beverage. You can grill up a bunch of fruit and store in the refrigerator for future use. The grilled fruit will last several days and then you don’t have to fire up the grill every afternoon when you are craving your tea {haha}. It comes in a case so it is handy to have on hand for summer entertaining, or just my afternoon iced tea. I ordered online at Walmart.com and you can pick up in store or have it delivered to your home. Be sure to buy some fruit to grill when you next purchase SANPELLEGRINO® Pesca &tè.
