Crafty Christmas Keeping it Christ Centered

I know I’m guilty of getting caught up in all the Christmasy things and forgetting that the reason we celebrate is the birthday of our savior. With everything else it can be difficult to keep Christ the center of the holiday, but it can be done… Jesus is the reason for the season and there are SO many wonderful ways to celebrate and anticipate the celebration of his birth.  I’m thrilled to end my Crafty Christmas series this year with some great Christ Centered crafts and ideas…

Do Small Things with Love made this GORGEOUS Holy Family Ornament. You may have seen it around… I loved it from the moment I saw it {and pinned it!} and now I’m so excited because she is sharing it with us here today.
This beautiful Christmas printable was made by Food, Folks and Fun, I love the classic colors and the words… lovely!
And Oh My! Isn’t the little Fabric Nativity from Cutesy Crafts amazing?? Seriously?? I LOVE IT! Pinning to make next year {I’m DONE with Christmas projects this year, ha!}
And Nap Time Crafters shared about Keeping Christ in Christmas…If that adorable teaser photo with her kids isn’t enough to make you click over.. adorable!!

In our family, one thing we enjoy doing at Christmas time is reading ONLY Christmas books. We have a basket and I only put them out in December, so the kids are excited each year, its like new books! I LOVE the message of Christmas books… themes of sharing, gift giving, welcoming strangers, such selfless ideas… {of course we love Moosletoe and Ten on a Sled as well, not sure what themes those books teach}
A new book to me this Christmas is Itsy Bitsy Christmas by Max Lucado…
Its about two tiny mice who hear that a King will be born in Bethlehem… no one believes them, why would a King to to Bethlehem, to those ordinary people? At the end the King IS born there right in their stable… the animals can’t believe that the King came to them… they complain, dis-believe, are grumpy and small… yet he came to them…AHHHH YES! 
Christ came for us all!! No matter how big or small, important or ordinary, grumpy or happy… Christ was born for YOU….. Merry Christmas!!! May you keep Christmas the center of Christmas and your lives the whole year through…

    This is so important in our family. When the kids were younger, we emphasized the birth of Jesus by serving birthday cake on Christmas. We also still read “A Tale Of Three Trees” on both Christmas and Easter. And that little photo is adorable!
