Alright, let’s get to the tutorial for these cute felt cookie ornaments. My kids love ornaments that resemble food… I did too. I remember loving the rubber ice cream cone we hung on out tree each year when I was growing up. I may or may not have even licked it a few times… {ha!}
Grab the printable PDF pattern for these felt cookie ornaments HERE. You will have a shape for the cookie and slightly smaller shape for the icing and cardboard.
supplies:
Cookie colored felt scraps
White scraps for icing
Red{s} and Green{s} embroidery floss
cardboard {I used a cereal box}
ribbon for hanging
Use the larger shape to cut TWO cookie colored felt pieces. Use the smaller shape to cute ONE icing piece and ONE cardboard piece.
Sew the icing to the cookie with three strands of one color of floss. You want your stitches to look like sprinkles.
Add a second color of sprinkles..try to space them evenly.
And then one final floss color.
Assemble the cookie. Back, cardboard, and top {with icing}.
Sew around the edge with thread or floss that matches the cookie.
Make sure to sew in your ribbon hanger at the top of your cookie. You can use any stitch for around the cookie.
There you have it! Fun Felt Cookie Ornaments… use them as ornaments or make them without the hanger for fun play cookies.

I sadly can’t get google drive to allow me to access the pattern. Is there a way I can still get it?

These are SO CUTE! I was thinking, if you don’t have cardboard that will work with this project, you could also use those thin, flexible cutting mats!
