Hi Friends! Today I’m over on Project Run and Play offering a fun slim jogger mash up sewing hack.
You may remember in the spring when I competed in season 23 of Project Run and Play. I only lasted two weeks, but it was a fun experience so when I was invited to hack some patterns from the PRP shop I was excited for the opportunity. Also make sure you scroll all the way down for a fun giveaway!! {open until Aug 5th}
Jogger/Pants Hack tutorial-
For this project I started with the Four Seasons Joggers and the Spider Monkey Pants. The fabric used was a combination of Double Knit 100% Poly-Sportswear, and Dimple Mesh/Bird’s Eye Light 100% Poly-Sportswear. I bought it from Ronittextle.
I really love the side pockets of the Spider Monkey pants, but the fit of the joggers was more what I was looking for. I decided to mash the two patterns and ended up hack the style a bit more to be just want I was looking for.
I was inspired to make these because my oldest is off to middle school this year and he can’t wear athletic pants or sweatpants unless they are the sporty jogger style. I’m thinking these look as good as any Adidas soccer joggers {haha} Also, the deep side pockets are just perfection!
I promise they like the pants more than their expression shows {haha} Actually, these photos are hiding the HUGE black eye my oldest is currently sporting after a knee to the eye last week. He didn’t want it in the photos so we got a little creative… Be sure to enter the pattern giveaway before you go.
