I’ve been pinning a ton of Valentine ideas, but I hadn’t really made anything new this year. We’ve been enjoying our heart and blossom wreath, and our I Love You frames, while at IKEA last week, I was inspired to make this washi valentines vase! I saw this pretty vase and these colorful sticks there and knew I could add this to my Valentine decor.
This is a super simple craft, and if you don’t have an IKEA nearby, take any clear vase, and spray paint sticks from outside to put in your valentines vase.
Here’s what you will need. Clear Vase, Painted sticks {bought or made}, Washi Tape and Twine.
Choose one side of the vase to be the back. You need a side to hide all the tape ends. Start and end on the back side.
I wrapped the washi take around the bottom and top of the vase.
I started from the bottom back with the twine, then wrapped it around up to the top, and then back down to the bottom.
Use some washi to hold firm both ends of the twine. You could also use ribbon to wrap around the vase.
And there you have it! A cute little Washi Valentine Vase… and because it’s so easy, you can still make it with plenty of time for Valentines day! Fill your vase with flowers, or spray paint some sticks a pretty Valentines color…
