Back to School Essentials GIVEAWAY {closed}

Today I’m part of The Benson Street Back to School series… I love Emily’s blog and I think her name is the best! {ha!} I’m sharing what I think are some back to school essentials.. especially for kindergarten and lower elementary age kids. My son will be in full day kindergarten in just about three weeks and we are in full preparation mode! I’ll show you when I’m buying for the school year, then giveaway over $50 of my favorite goodies!!!

1. Lunch/snack boxes. I randomly bought a Sistema Snack box in the check out isle of Old Navy two years ago… my son was starting preschool and I thought it looked like a good box. It’s been a GREAT box and now my cupboard and FULL of Sistema products! The box has held up for two years… and we used it every single school day. Its easy to clean and the perfect size for snacks.

Now, notice that cute robot sticker? This brings me to number 2…

2. Name stickers/labels! I have a set for each of my boys and they are just so handy…. Its great for labeling all the stuff you take to school AND for keeping things separate at home. With two boys who often choose the SAME THING…. these name labels help me keep everything from water bottles to helicopter apart.

3. crayola products

Anything washable is a must in our home! Whether it’s for school or project around the house I need good quality washable crayons and markers and crayola products really seem to out-wash and outlast any other brand I have tried.

4. Sturdy Backpacks…

If you haven’t already picked up on the fact, I’m a big fan of online shopping. I go to Amazon for a lot of things and kids backpacks are one of those items. When I was first looking for pre-school packs I needed on that could fit a fill folder {school requirement} and one that was cute and well made. I found a Olive Kids Backpack that fit all these needs. We used the same pack for TWO YEARS of preschool. Many of my friends had to buy their kids 2 or 3 packs in this same amount of time. It ended up being just the right size for a little guy too, yet big enough for all his stuff. It defiantly has some wear and tear after two years, but the zippers and straps and bottom are all in great shape. I’m letting him pick out a new one for full day kindergarten, but not because we have to.

5. Reusable Snack Packs

When I don’t need a snack box, or want/need to send a second snack, these packs really come in handy. You can click the link or the photo to check out my tutorial for making your own.
