School starts in two days… Ekkkkk! We’ve done our back to school shopping and I feel ready, but it’s always an adjustment, even if I feel all set to go. With two kids in school and a husband who is a school principal, our life gets crazy during the school year. I need back to school organization for sure! This year I’m using a simple tape calendar, to help keep everyone’s schedule straight! {yes, my first grader takes Chinese} It’s set up for one week at a time, so I can really focus on what’s coming up.
Back to School Organization Calendar
This calendar is easy to change each week and I can even remove each item as it’s completed, making it clear to see what’s on our schedule. Each family member has their own color and the columns for each day keep things neat. The Scotch® Magic™ Tape is great for writing on and works so well for this calendar. In addition to the Scotch® Magic™ Tape, you will also need some colored Scotch® Tape for the daily headings.
I made this calendar right on my kitchen cupboard, so it’s right where all the action is! You can organize your calendar however you want, but I started with the days of the week at the top.
I added our names on the side. See how it’s right in the action? Next to the fridge means it will be right where it can been seen. The names and days will stay… then just change out the items underneath.
Now each week I can get our family schedule all laid out. With Scotch® Magic™ Tape you can write on the surface and it doesn’t smudge or smear.
Write the event or to do item on the tape, and then you can peel it off when completed.
Here’s the base of our weekly events… I will add to it through the week as things come up. The tape peels off super easy and using Scotch® Tape makes this calendar super easy to set up and also easy to edit as needed. No sticky residue on my cupboard and nothing permanent should I need to remove it.
Hopefully this will inspire you in some way today! I love that this doesn’t take any craft skills and anyone can still tape to a kitchen cupboard! {ha!} Here’s my video showing just how simple it is.

This is so simple but completely genius–and I think it’s actually super cute, too, the transparent tape makes it look like it’s written on, so I had to do a double take at first! ~ Client

I love your calendar idea – I wish I had something like that when I was growing up (don’t tell my mom though!) 😉

We have very limited wall space in our house, and I never have room to hang anything for schedules or like a command center. Never thought of using the cupboard! This is a great idea!

we also live in a small apartment so I’m always looking for ways to maximize my wall space! ;o)

I love how simple and uncluttered this is. I never would have thought to do it this way. I would have done a million lines and it would have hurt your eyes to look at it, haha. Thanks for sharing on Snickerdoodle Sunday!
