My husband loves banana cream pie… and I usually make him one for his birthday. This year I changed it up a bit and made it into a deconstructed pie….or banana cream parfait. It was a huge hit!
I started by making a pie crust, rolling it flat and sprinkling it with cinnamon and sugar. From there I cut it into fun shapes and rolled and twisted it before baking.
Here is my go-to crust recipe for all things pastry. I made a 1/2 recipe for this {or enough for 1 crust if you are using your own recipe} This serves four.

Place a couple of your pretty pie crust pieces on the top of this amazing banana cream parfait and you have yourself a delicious dessert. I only had one pretty glass dish so the other serving are in my fun green dishes in the back.
{cheater version}.. use a pre-made pie crust from the freezer section and a box of banana cream or vanilla pudding… it will still taste amazing, I promise!! I’ve made it this way… and its great if you are in a hurry.
