I don’t know about you, but with this crazy year it’s been awhile since we’ve seen grandparents! We were so excited for their visit this week that we decided to through a little tea party. My daughter is always looking for a reason to have a tea party and with the help of the beautiful party printables from Hostess with the Mostess this was an easy little party to throw together.

Dollar Store Party Craft

I grabbed some clear dishes and these horses from the dollar store to make a fun addition for the horse tea party. The fun thing about this project is that it works with any cheap plastic figure or toy!

I wanted to paint the horses gold, including the hair, so I trimmed the long mane. On a warm day I took my horses outside and spray painted on some cardboard in my driveway.

Much better!

Uses some strong glue to attach the figures to the dish. On the plate I glued just the two front feet onto the plate and then the bowl I actually put the horse on top. You can play around with your dish and animal shapes to figure out how they fit together.

The plate horse needed pressure while drying so I placed pliers on his back. I think the end result is just adorable and of course the label printables with perfect for this party. I didn’t edit the snack cards {although you certainly can}
