Have you seen your name on a coke bottle yet? We have had so much fun with the Coca Cola Bottles at Walmart has this summer. We are just finishing up a weekend at my Sister in Law’s house and we’ve had such a fun time reconnecting with family. I’ve mentioned before that we live far from family, but my husband is on a school schedule so we are able to take several weeks in the summer to spend time with family. This last week it was so lovely to spend time with loved ones, relaxing, playing games and doing fun activities. Before we got here we made a stop at Walmart and stocked up on several of the Coca Cola bottles with names on them. Unfortunately, we didn’t find Aunt Shari’s name or my husband’s name, but I found mine! Did you see my Instagram post where I shared it? And my kids thought the best part was when we made a fun game with the empty bottles. We found several family bottles and several other family members’ names too.
Before we talk more about the game, I’m excited to show off the fun bottles we used for it.
Have you looked at the Coca Cola displays at Walmart? They have the bottles in the refrigerators by the checkout, but we also found these bins and had fun looking at all the names.
We haven’t seen my sister-in-law or her daughter since last summer. It’s so special how you can pick right up where you last left off with family. I love watching adult siblings interact. Bryan and his sister have so much fun together. These “family” bottles are perfect for an evening on the deck. Aunt Shari is a true Diet Coke lover so it was perfect to share this bottle with her.
I also enjoyed a morning coke while watching my boys spend time their aunt. Drinking out of a bottle with your name on it just feels fun.
Ok, now to the details of our Coca Cola bottle blast game. Start saving your bottles and assign each one a point value. We have several bottle with family member’s names and a couple of just the “family” ones. If you had a bottle for each person with their name those could be BONUS bottles for each person. Extra points for knocking yourself over! {ha!} Put just a bit of water in the bottom of each bottle to provide stability and balance. This way the wind won’t blow them over either.
We set our game up on the bottom of a sloping driveway and took turns letting the ball roll down.
Keeping score was good practice for the five year old and he was pleased that he won our first game!
I’d love to hear your creative idea for using the personalized Coca Cola Bottles this summer! For other fun summer game and activities for kids you can check out my Summer Fun page.

Who doesn’t love a Coke in the morning? Drinking out of the bottle is great…you probably aren’t old enough to remember the tall skinny green glass bottles. They were the best! Thanks for sharing

Looks like fun! I just heard about these bottles the other day, but it turns out no one in our whole family has their name on one. I mean I get it that Toni, Aurelia and Corbin are all “different”, but I couldn’t even find one for my husband, Anthony. Bummer. Guess that’s why I like Pepsi. ๐

What a fun evening! My kids would love finding the names on a bottle. I think the game would be great fun if I could keep my little one from kicking them over before the others could roll the ball. LOL!
