I’m not usually one to make a big deal out of Valentines Day, but this year it seems like it would be fun to have a special family dinner. I recently got fun ZAK confetti plates {which I was sent for this post} and I made these cute DIY embroidered cards to place on the table for our Valentines meal. The best part is that you can make these cards for any occasion.

Make DIY Embroidered Cards
Ok! Let’s make some cards! Again this method can be used to make DIY embroidered card for any occasion so be thinking about what kind of cards you want to make like this.
Card making supplies –
- A Sewing Machine that does Embroidery. I’m using the Essence 5200 in this post.
- Embroidery Thread
- Embroidery Stabilizer
- Felt
- Card Stock
Place the stabilizer under the felt and put it in the embroidery hoop.
If you have a combo machine like I do, change the machine to the embroidery foot and attachment.
Create an embroidery design on your machine or import a design you want for your DIY Cards.
Sit back and let the machine do it’s thing! I love watching my embroidery machine work. Change out the thread as needed to create your design. This is a 5 x 7″ hoop and I was able to create two hearts in one.
Remove the extra stabilizer from the back of the felt and then cut out your design. I had full sheets of card stock so I cut it in half and then folded again to create a card.
So fun right? I can’t wait to make more cards for all seasons and occasions.
