DIY Fitness Sweatbands tutorial-
Before I get to the tutorial, I just want to mention that you can get great deals on Dannon 4 pack Yogurt Drinks through the Ibotta App right now. Check it out >>>HERE I need to have something in my stomach before I work out in the morning , but nothing too heavy. These yogurt drinks are the perfect get-up-and-get-going start to my busy day.
I used terry cloth and 1.5″ elastic to make my DIY fitness sweatbands. You can also use an old towel or buy it by the yard here.
You will not need very much so if you buy it by yard you will have extra… currently planning another terry cloth project since I have so much. Okay! Let’s start… Measure your wrist or arm where you want the sweatband to sit. I made one wrist and one arm. Cut the fabric about 3 inches longer and 2.5 times as wide as the elastic. For example… 6″ long elastic, 1.5″ wide. You would cut the fabric about 9″ long and 3.75″ wide. I also cut two of each to make it double thick. Depending on your fabric you can do one or two layers.
Fold over and hem one short end of the terry cloth. Here are my two sweatbands…
Fold your terry cloth over and sew the long edges together to form a long tube. Thread the elastic into the tube.
Bring the ends of the elastic together, pin and sew to form a circle.
Tuck the unfinished side of the circle into the side you hemmed at the very beginning. This will create a finished circle.
Now, get out and get sweating!!
Now I can wipe my sweat in style {haha!} And start the day with a tasty yogurt drink from Walmart. You can find them in convenient four-packs in the yogurt section. #DannonAtWM
I love that Dannon® Oikos® Yogurt Drinks have live and active cultures and 10 grams of protein.
