Okay, now onto my DIY stacking doll project… Max and I made this at the very begining of summer and it was so fun! I need to buy some more wooden dolls so we can more more. Rose would love to make her own. You can personalize the wooden stacking dolls to be any character or person that you want…. Here’s what we came up with..
Max wanted to make them all the same and make them ROBOTS.. so that’s what we tried to do! You will need… Craft paint, wooden stacking dolls, Sharpies and brushes… You can find all these on Amazon by clicking the photos below..
Start by painting the dolls a base color…
We started by painting each with a layer of the metalic bronze paint. Then we let it dry.. After the base color dries, add details with other colors of paint {we added a face and arms} then when that dries add fine details with the Sharpies…. Here are the Robots!
And all apart…. A fun and easy project.. make a set yourself, or let your kids make them.. I let Max make these all on his own and he was SO proud of the result..

I love your stacking robots – so fun! My uncle painted stacking dolls for my girls for Christmas and they adore them. I hadn’t thought about making our own. Thank you for sharing on Family Joy Link-Up Party this week.

That stacking doll craft, among the others you shared, is fantastic! I didn’t even know you could buy blank ones and decorate them yourself! This would be perfect for my daughter who is currently into painting and all sorts of crafts! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas with us on #shinebloghop!
