Two things you may or may not know about me: (1) I love to make things {all the time!}, and (2) I love candy! Most of the time I am able to resist the urge to eat mounds and mounds of candy, but sometimes it just calls my name! Skittles are one of those candies that I find hard to resist. Chocolate…I can pass. Fruity candy? YUM YUM! So today’s post had me more than just a little bit excited because I was able to combine two of my favorite things! Candy and Creating! I’m going to share an easy tutorial for creating this one of a kind Easter Table Centerpiece made from SKITTLES!!! #VIPFruitFlavors
Give your Easter table an eye-catching centerpiece with this candy creation.
Because I wanted a lot of candy for both creating AND eating, I purchased the Skittles & Starburst 30 Pack from Sam’s Club.
Of course I wanted to have enough for my project and to eat, so this big pack was the way to go. Want to make your own Easter Table Centerpiece? Grab some candy and a craft egg form {found at any craft store} and let’s get started! {oh and a glue gun}
My egg is from IKEA, and it was a nice green color to start. If you are using a brown craft egg, I would recommend painting it first because some small bits will show through the candy. Start by making a stand for your egg by rolling a strip of paper and securing with tape or glue.
Mark on the egg where the stand sits as a reminder not to put the candy there. Start in the middle {the widest part} and begin gluing on the Skittles.
I was able to put enough glue for several at a time. I decided to do rows of various colors, but there are so many ways you could design the Skittles on the egg. The best part was having SO many candies to work with from the big pack {and plenty to snack on while I worked}!
As with any glue gun project there will be glue webs all over. Clean as you go, and then make a final check before you display your egg. You can see on the left of this photo that the bottom of the egg is not covered in candy. This is where the stand will sit.
And finally, add this beauty to your Easter table or other Easter decor and enjoy. A pretty decoration and plenty of Skittles for treats and snacks too.

Fill several plastic eggs with the extra Skittles and put on the table for your dinner favors {a hit with the kids and adults!}.

I’m going to proudly display this Easter table centerpiece on our table as Easter decor for the next few weeks. Hopefully my boys won’t be picking at it. {ha!}
If you are looking for other Easter decoration ideas I recently made an Easter Egg Garland and Egg Wreath. A great Easter dessert idea is this Spring Fruit Tart, too.
