I’m in love with my new felt flower wreath! It’s so bright and colorful and looks amazing hanging on our door. I bought the vine wreath over a month ago with the hopes of making a wreath like this. I had a lot of other projects on my list so it got put off. Last week when had an afternoon I finally got time to sit down and make it. LOVE!
Felt Flower Wreath tutorial-
I did some research on felt flower idea and couldn’t narrow it down, so I decided I would make many different kinds of felt flowers and put them together to make a wreath. I really really love how they all work together to make a beautiful bouquet on my wreath.
So what you will need to make this gorgeous summer wreath…. a vine wreath – assorted felt – glue gun – buttons if you want… I’m going to give you links to the tutorials I used if you want to make any of these felt flowers.
Felt Rosettes – Super easy and fun to make in a variety of colors.
Felt mums – SUPER cute and I like the blue one that has two different size petals.
Big felt layered flower. I used two different colors and a button in the middle for a little different look.
Puffy leafed flower… Again, I added two different colors on the one flower for some layers.
I just love the way all these flowers come together to make a summery wreath. You could use just one of the above flowers or a combination like I did. Do you have a favorite flower in the bunch? I don’t know if I have a favorite, but I have some that I don’t really love as much. I cut out a few sizes of leaves and added them around the flowers for color and shape. I think it finishes up the wreath nicely.
Here are some other felt projects I love –
