inside: Make this beautiful felt Christmas garland with two simple steps. Fun, cute and easy.
Last week I was inspired to make this felt garland for Christmas garland and it filled a hole in my decor. I keep thinking my house is decorated, but then I make something cute and new {haha!} I either had to drive the 45 min to IKEA to get another strand of garland { I love my IKEA garland } OR I needed to make something to fill in this handrail… in the end I went with this fun Christmas felt garland and I love it.

Before we talk about how I made it.. let’s just talk about Christmas decor.. I love my IKEA garland… that’s already been established.. but in this new house we have this railing.. no where near a plug… so I bought a battery operated strand of lights.. it takes 3 D batteries and has been perfect for this spot. You can check out the battery lights here.

So… let’s make a felt garland for Christmas {you really could make with any colors for any season!}… You will need scraps of felt, and a simple sewing machine {any!} Cut lots of small circles… lots and lots… then sew them together with a simple straight stitch.. I was able to keep the machine sewing slowly and just keep feeding the circles into the machine.. some of my circles have more space than others between them, but I wasn’t going for them to be all the same. You can see my video below that shows how the whole thing gets put together…
Here’s a video to help you put your own felt garland together. I’m sure you could probably figure it out, but sometimes it’s so helpful to see how someone else did it first. As always, please let me know if you have any questions!

I love anything felt! Cute garland and one that looks easy (and quick) enough to make, even with kids bouncing around the sewing machine! Visiting from Pretty Pintastic Party.
