We wore our felt unicorn headbands for this little mother-daughter unicorn afternoon, and this no-sew tutorial is a simple one you can make too! I’ve got the full felt unicorn headband – no sew tutorial for you as well as ideas and links for making truly amazing unicorn memories. Do you have a little one who is unicorn obsessed?

Ok! let’s make a headband!
How to make a felt unicorn headband –
Gather your supplies – felt, headband, glue, hot glue, stuffing {batting} and glitter – if you want. I used white, light pink and dark pink felt, but of course unicorns can be any color you like!
Download the free unicorn headband template by clicking the photo below. This is what it looks like, but you need to open the pdf and print from there, not this photo.
Cut out the template as directed and gather your supplies.
Cut a slit about 1.5″ long in the center of the white ears.
Next, cross and glue these pieces over to give the ear some shape. Use hot glue to place the pink smaller ear piece in the middle of the white.
Use hot glue to go around the unicorn horn and glue the two pieces together. Leave the bottom open for stuffing. Fill with some stuffing or cotton balls to give it some shape.
Close the opening with glue but keep about 3/8″ un-glued on the bottom to attach to the headband.
Use glue to make stripes on the horn and then cover with glitter. Shake off the loose glitter.
Start with the ears on the headband. The edges of the ears should meet in the middle of the headband.
Center and glue the unicorn horn between the ears and then glue the ears to the back of the horn.
Trim any felt that hangs over the edge of the headband. You can add some felt to the sides of the headband if you like.
And then…. get ready for a magical time of unicorn fun! We look pretty cute together if I do say so myself. We had loads of fun with our Snack Packs, unicorn printables and headbands.
The Unicorn Magic Snack Packs will probably be on an end-cap or special display, so look around if you don’t see them. I had to walk to the end of the aisle where the other Snack Pack items are.
Don’t forget to make some cute headbands as well. What a fun winter no-sew craft!
