Today I have a special guest post for you all. ENJOY!
Thank you Emily for swapping with me. I’m super excited to be here!
I’m Rachel and I blog over at Adventures of a DIY Mom.
I love to share craft and sewing projects. I love to bake and I often share recipes. I will have several canning posts in the coming months as well. I also host a weekly link party on Tuesdays.
Here are a few of my favorite posts lately:
Today I’m going to share with you one of my favorite summer desserts. I found this in a Kraft Foods Magazine years ago. It’s called Striped Delight, but we call it 5 Layer Oreo Dessert.
You have got to try this! It is so cool and refreshing on a hot summer day. Another plus is that you don’t need to turn your oven.
I only make this once every summer, because I CANNOT stop eating it! It’s that good.
Here’s the recipe (adapted from Kraft Foods Magazine):
35 Oreos, crushed
6 T. butter, melted
Mix together and press into 9×13 pan. Refrigerate 10 minutes.
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
2 T. cold milk
1 1/4 c. whipped topping
Mix well and spread over layer one.
3 1/4 c. milk
2 pkg. chocolate pudding
Mix together and spread over layer two
whipped topping (the rest of a 12 oz tub)
Spread over layer three
3-4 Oreos, crushed
Sprinkle on top.
Refrigerate a few hours and enjoy!
