Grilled Chik’n Nuggets

It’s no secret that I’m a vegetarian, and the rest of my family eats meat. I do cook meat, even though I don’t eat it. Our meals are a blend of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, and sometimes require that I make two different options. When I find a meal that the whole family can eat together it’s a big score for me. I love MorningStar Farms and their line of veggie cuisine because I can eat them AND my family loves them too! With summer grilling season in full swing I decided to use the Chik’n Nuggets to make grilled Chik’n Nugget kebabs. So yummy!

These grilled nugget kebabs make an whole meal when you add your favorite veggies before grilling.

To make you need to gather your favorite summer veggies, frozen Chik’n Nuggets, and bamboo sticks for grilling. You can soak the sticks in water for 10 min. to avoid them charring on the grill. I used orange peppers, zucchini and broccoli because I know my boys will eat them.

I put a few veggies on my stick, then two chik’n nuggets, then a few more veggies. spray with a bit of olive oil and then heat up the grilled to medium heat.

Here are my kebabs ready to grill.

I put them on the top rack of our grill for about 15 min, then to the lower rack at a higher heat for the final 5 min. to crisp.

The nuggets got so crispy on the grill, YUM! I also love grilled veggies, a summer staple for sure.
