ummmm, I’m dying here with the deliciousness of today post. This pepper chicken burger is out of this world! I just love summer food! The freshness, the flavors, GRILLING! Yum!  Put some real HEAT on your grill this summer with Mezzetta’s Peppers and all your grilled favorites.

Ok, so I rounded up all my favorite things and put them on this single plate! This grilled creation is just perfection in my book. I love a little heat on my grilled food and the combination of Mezzetta’s Mild Pepper Rings and Roasted Red Bell Peppers with pepper jack cheese on a chicken burger, YUM! Add the foccacia bun,  some homemade sweet potato fries and a homemade garlic/basil aoli sauce.

Pepper Chicken Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and garlic/basil aoli sauce

Ingredients

• 4 chicken burgers
• 4 foccacia buns
• 4 slices pepper jack cheese
• 1 jar mild pepper rings
• 1 jar roasted red bell peppers
• 2 sweet potatos {peeled, slices and tossed in olive oil with a bit of salt}
• for sauce: Handful of basil, 1 TBS minced garlic, 3 TBS Mayo, 1TBS olive oil, 3T TBS water

Instructions

1. Prepare sauce by blending all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Pre-heat oven to 220F Place the sliced sweet potato on a baking sheet and bake for 25 min or until browned and crispy.
2. Grill the burgers on a hot grill, when you flip the burger, add 1 slice of pepper cheese and several slices of each kind of peppers. Continue to grill until burger is cooked through and cheese is melted. Serve with the sauce on a foccacia bun.
