While I am super grateful for Emily’s generosity in making this free pattern available, I am not a fan and won’t be using it again. There is no armhole shaping at all, it’s just straight lines, and as a result the fabric pulls under the arms in a really unappealing way. I sewed this shirt as a present for someone but looking at it now I actually don’t think I can give this away, I think they’ll be disappointed and I’ll be embarrassed…

Compensating my above rating a bit since I managed to improve the fit by VERY aggressively ironing a bit of a curve into the raglan seams. I feel I can give the shirt away now without feeling like people will be questioning my sewing skills. Whew! Still, overall not the happiest sewing experience…

The shirts came out amazing thank you so much! I made them for my boys sizes 10 and 5. They love them so much I’m afraid I’ll have to get heavier duty fabric so they don’t wear them out so quickly.
