Savory Pull Apart Bread Recipe –
I could not keep my kids out of this bread long enough to take photos, the smell alone was amazing and they just wanted to dive right in. Look how yummy!
I’ve made several other pull apart breads in the past, but this is my first attempt at a savory version and it may just be my favorite. Here are a few other pull apart bread recipes you should try.
On a recipe trip to Walmart I stocked up on some of my very favorite McCormick® herbs and spices.
Before we move onto the savory monkey bread recipe I want to share a simple coffee hack made with McCormick® Pumpkin Pie Spice or McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract.
I’ve been making my coffee like this all fall and it’s SO good. I recently had some in a thermos while out and someone asked my why my coffee smelled like pumpkin! It also tastes like pumpkin spice too!
This is such an easy hack… Use pumpkin spice or vanilla or peppermint for different flavored coffees. Add the water and coffee as normal, then sprinkle a layer of the pumpkin spice over your coffee grounds. Brew…
Add milk or creamer as usually, then add just a small sprinkle of the same spice on top… time to enjoy!
I like to gather all my bread supplies before I start to make the process easier. This is actually my easy bread recipe and then I’ve added McCormick® herbs for the amazing savory flavor. The printable recipe is at the end of the post.
Some of the herbs are added after the dough is made, but I did mix the garlic powder right into the dough.
And while the dough was rising I enjoyed my cup of pumpkin spice coffee!
While the dough is rising mix the herbs all together in a small bowl, you will also need to melt the butter in another. Punch the dough down a bit, then roll a small dough ball in your hands. Dip in the butter, then place in the greased bundt pan. {for cheesy bread sprinkle a layer of cheese before the dough} I have a non-cheese eater so I didn’t add this.
After you have one layer of dough, use a spoon to sprinkle the herbs mix over the balls. Then add another layer {cheese too if you want} and sprinkle more herbs.
Cover and raise dough for about 45 min and then your pan should be all filled in like this.
Bake as directed in recipe… It looks so good when pulled from the oven.
Turn over onto a plate and serve warm with dipping sauce or as a side to a meal. This was so good warm and we even reheated the bread in our air fryer the second day for another yummy bread side.
And here’s the full printable version of the recipe.
