Hi, I’m Marissa and I am so excited for this series. I’m a HUGE book nerd. In addition to recipes and general crafts I share all kinds of book reviews and crafts on my blog Rae Gun Ramblings. I just had my first baby so I’ve had a fun time introducing him to books. I cannot wait to share my love of Harry Potter and more but until then we’ll stick with some awesome board books 😉
My boys name is Teddy and even though it’s kind of punny, the first book that popped into my head was Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See? I love all of Eric Carle’s books since the pictures are just gorgeous and colorful.
This one features all kinds of animals and colors and is great for teaching little ones about different interesting animals and of course colors. I made a simple Bear Hooded Vest and cute Brown Bear Onesie for Teddy. I’ve always been struck by the vivid blue eyes of the Brown Bear on the cover of the book.
I read a ton of Young Adult literature but I’m just now getting into the baby and little kid books. If you have favorites I would love you to visit me over at my blog Rae Gun Ramblings and share your favorites since I am just getting started and want Teddy to love reading as much as I do! You can also find a tutorial for how I made the Bear outfit including a free pattern for the Hooded Bear Vest (and how to make one in any size) and how to make a simple Bear Onesie.
