I needed a shirt to go with a skirt I was making and didn’t have a white girls shirt on hand (I usually keep a small stock). I did however have this boys T on hand. I did my best to make it look more feminine… what do you think?
After I dyed it I took off the pocket (which I should have done before dying!) and appliqued the flowers where the pocket had been.
I cut off the sleeve hem and zig-zagged teh edge to ruffle it a bit.
Then I took in each side just a bit to make it more fitted. You can see how I took out to bottom hem, cut the extra, then resewed it to retain the finished edge.
Finished shirt!
Completed outfit!
