inside: Create a beautiful peacock tutu costume with this skirt and shirt tutorial.
I’m so excited to share this beautiful peacock tutu skirt with you all today. It’s so fun to make and Rose ended up wearing it for two different Halloweens over the years. The fun shirt added to the outfit and she wore that all the time after the costume event.
Monday night I tried an experiment while sewing on Facebook Live.. I put in a woven back on this knit t-shirt to see if it would work… IT DID! So happy it turned out and that I have this t-shirt hack to share today. It’s the top half of a peacock costume. You can scroll to the bottom of this post to get the skirt video tutorial as well. I’ve moved the t-shirt hack to it’s own post so head HERE for the woven back shirt hack.
Peacock tutu skirt costume
So the video tutorial for the skirt is below. Remember if you want to see how to make this fun shirt hack, check out my woven back shirt hack post here.
This one works well for costumes such as this, seasonal shirts or other times when you have fun woven fabric you want to sew with. I love the fit of knit t-shirt, but woven fabric is often so cute. This mashes the best of both of those.
