I kind of love making my own earrings. I’ve made these leather ones before and those pairs still get tons of wear. Because I love the other ones so much I decided to try and make more seasonal/holiday faux leather earring templates so today I’m sharing some cute and easy leather earring svg free files for Easter. Today here is a free file for you and then a premium pack for those of you who want all the designs.

DIY easter earrings –
To make these adorable faux leather earrings you will need the following:
Thin craft suede or Faux Leather fabric {seen here}, Open jump rings and Earring Hooks. When you buy the rings and earring hooks you get a lot so you will be set for making tons of fun faux leather earrings all year long.
You will also need an electronic craft cutter for this project. I’m using the Scan N Cut DX, but the svg files shared here will work on any craft cutting machine you have.
how to make faux leather earrings –
You can watch the video in this post for a detailed version of the photos I’m about to show you. Make sure to turn up the volume as I do describe what I’m doing in the video.
Import the svg file to your cutter softwear. Edit to just the faux leather earring svg files you want to cut. You can cut the all at the same time, but I wanted different colors so I only did one or two pairs of each color. Adjust size to your liking. Then transfer the files to your machine. With the scan n cut this is done via wifi with the push of a button.
Place your pleather/suede on your cutting mat. If you mat is not super sticky you can use painters tape to hold in place or I used an extra tacky mat attachment on top of my normal cutting mat. Cut the earrings and then remove from the mat.
I like to cut all the designs first, then move my machine out of the way to finish the earring assemble. A needle nose pliers is very handy for the next steps.
For each earring you will need 2 jump rings and a earring hook. If you only use one ring the earring will not lay flat with the design facing forward, it will instead be to the side. The second ring helps it to hang with the design facing out when you wear the earrings.
Place one open jump ring through the hole in the top of the earring design.
Place another ring through this one. Squeeze closed both of these rings.
Open up the bottom of the earring hook and place that through the top jump ring. Squeeze the earring hook wire closed and your earring is complete. Repeat with the other earring for the pair and then make lots and lots of fun earring designs using the files I created for you! Happy Easter and happy earring creating.
