What’s better than a candy freezer pop on a hot summer day? For those of you that love sour, these are an amazing mix of sweet and sour {mostly sour}. Tart lemonade with MIKE AND IKE Mega Mix Sour inside are SO fun and SO tasty! I love a good sour candy.
Have you tried Mike & Ike’s MegaMix Sours? I have because sour candy is my favorite. I decided to put a fun spin on them by making candy freezer pops with them. I used lemonade for my pop base, but you could use any juice or drink that you like. Something sweet would give more the sweet/sour mix, but frozen lemonade is so yummy, so that’s what I used. You can find MIKE AND IKE Mega Mix Sour at Walmart for all your summer fun activities! You will need:

Freezer pop bags
Funnel
Lemonade {or other drink}
Put about 10 candies in the freezer pop bag, then pour in your juice using the funnel. Don’t add too much or you can’t zip up the bag. I laid each one flat on a baking sheet then had my daughter help by push the candy around the candy to evenly distribute.
Freeze for 1-2 hours and then enjoy!! I know we sure did!
Serve on ice if outside for any length of time. This will help to keep them chilled while you are serving
My family enjoyed this treat over several afternoons this past week. Each candy freezer pop is just enough to keep you chill on a hot day. The frozen candy bits inside and chewy, tangy and just delicious. You can make up a bunch pretty quick and then have them for a treat over many hot days.
Here are a few other cool treats we like to enjoy on hot afternoons:
