Do you love Easter Peeps? {I don’t love to eat them, but I think the shape is so so cute! Celebrate the season and your love with these felt Easter Peeps Bunny Bags. This is an easy project that will bring joy all around. Celebrate Easter Peeps and make a fun bag to carry all your Easter goodies.
Easter Peeps Bunny Bags from felt –
I posted some Easter Peeps Bunny Bags several years ago, but these bunny bags are version 2.0. Bigger and better with a free template to make your own this time. These bags can hold more eggs or a bigger gift {which is what I plan to put in them…} a gift that can’t fit in an egg.
Felt is one of my favorite fabrics to craft with and this project is easy to make up. I’ve sewn these for my own kids and I’ve also made up a dozen for Easter party favors. Either way you can use this template here and hand or machine sew the project.
This is so cute as a bag OR a plushie! I’ve also done some by hand sewing and some on my machine. You can use the same template for either option

What you need to create fun bunny bags –
Okay, let’s get to making your own cute bunny bags. First- Go print the Easter Peeps Bag Template.
If you print at 100% or actual size to get the full size bunny. Cut 2 for each bag/plushie and then sew from bottom of head to bottom of head… attach a ribbon at the beginning and end of your stitches. If you are making a plushie sew all the way around.
Felt bunny bag tutorial –
Let’s sew some fun bunny shapes crafts.
Trace the template onto the felt and cut out two per bag OR place the template on the felt and cut it directly. This sheet of felt was bit longer so I made this bag a bit bigger. Again, use STIFF felt for the bags and SOFT felt for the plushie.
Before I go any farther I like to add the eyes. Grab a permanent marker and use the template to copy the eye pattern. I made my eyes/nose a round shape.
Next you must decide if you are going to hand sew this project or use your sewing machine. I made some of each.
If making a plush, leave a two inch opening at the bottom to stuff the bunny. Make sure to push stuffing up into the ears.
Close the bottom after stuffing.
If you are making a bag you can sew the ribbon below the ears, or below the head. I like sewing at the neck to make it easier to get your hand inside the bag. The stiff felt really made a big difference in the shape of these bags. This was a change I’ve made in making these over the years.
