Super excited to be sharing this fabric wrapped vase as a quick craft in the Craft Lightening series.. My fabric wrapped vase can be made in about 10 min, uses up those scraps of fabric we all have laying around, AND makes a great gift!! Lets make one!
This video at the top of the post shows how to make this fabric wrapped vase, but here are a few step by step photos as well… I cut 1.5/2″ strips of fabric from my scap bin. I cut way too many, so just start with a few and then add more as you need. Hot glue the end of one piece of fabric to the bottom of the vase.
Begin to twist the fabric.
Contine to end of first piece, then glue a second fabric strip and keep twisting.
You could use all the same fabric or many different kinds.
When you have the vase wrapped as far up as you want, tuck the end in the top row of fabric, and then secure with a bit of glue.
SO cute right? I LOVE how colorful mine turned out and I need to make a few more of these for gifts. My vase came from IKEA, but you could use any you find or already have on hand!!
